Us
We
are a small family of Boxer lovers located on the beautiful Central Coast
of California. Our love of the breed started in 1996, two weeks after
purchasing our first home. I grew up with mixed breed dogs of all
kinds, but always liked the look of Boxers. My husband had never
had a dog before. We saw an ad in the paper for Boxer puppies and
went to take a look. Maggie came home with us and the rest is history.
Six months later, we decided she needed a friend, so Nellie joined our
home.
As
much as we loved Maggie and Nellie, we got them from BYBs. Both had
numerous health problems and were not good representatives of the breed
in the looks department. They were all Boxer in temperament, however.
We knew so little at the time. When Maggie was just over 5 years
old, she came down with a very aggressive lymphoma. Less than a month
later, she was gone. We knew that we would never have just one Boxer,
so the search was on.
I
wanted to go with established breeders, so did some research online and
found Dick Servetnick of R-Dan Boxers who had a nice litter. I thought
I might like getting into showing and Dick graciously allowed Chloe to
join our family. A year later, Parker joined us from Gary & Michelle
Steele.
Our
goal is to have sound, healthy, happy Boxers. As such, any litters
we breed will be carefully planned, using only health tested, well rounded
specimens of the breed. Our puppies will be placed in loving homes
where they will be able to maintain a relationship with the new owners.
